• On August 21, 2003, a wildfire in the Crowsnest Pass got out of control

• The energy emitted by the fire was the equivilant of an atomic bomb being detonated every thirty minutes

• Elaine Hruby was one of the many residents who were forced to flee from the fire

• Taking what possesions she could, Elaine was forced to leave her town to the mercy of mother nature
