Principals Report Dear Families and Community Members,
It certainly feels like the Easter Long weekend
arrived at just the right time. I hope you were
able to spend some extra time relaxing and
enjoying quality time with family and friends.
Easter Hat Parade
Thank you to all the family members who joined
us for our annual Easter Hat Parade. It was
wonderful to watch the students create their
extravaganzas—thankfully in Miss Blayney’s
room.
The customary egg hunt and student-made
morning tea was a wonderful way to catch up
before the long weekend.
Thank you to Jamie-Lee for organising the raffle
prize and to everyone who worked hard selling
the tickets.
Surfing—Miss Blayney finally got to surf
Miss Blayney was very excited that she finally got
to go surfing last week. I hear that the conditions
were beautiful and the students have really
improved in confidence, standing on their
boards and becoming stronger in the paddle.
We continue with the program tomorrow,
Thursday 5th April.
Newspaper
Alongside Toormina High School, we are in the
newspaper this week. It details our plans to bring
Marine Studies from Kindergarten to Year 12. More
details about the program will be sent home soon.
ANZAC Day
Our school will be taking part in the Anzac Day
Commemoration in Sawtell on Wednesday 25th April.
Students are encouraged to join us in full school
uniform to take part in the march and service. A
note with all the details was sent home this week.
We will be holding our own ceremony at school
on Wednesday 11th April.

Kids in the Kitchen- Easter Cooking Edition As last Friday we were not able to cook, the students felt it important to share our clever skills with family and friends at our Easter Hat Parade.
We made two different types of Hot Cross Buns, with and without sultanas; Rocky Road and Easter Eggs. These were a challenge this week as the temptation to sample was very high, however we are excited to share our goods.
Thank you, Tracy for supplying and lending the chocolate and moulds to use for our Easter eggs. Ziggy and Zoe learnt how important it is to temper the chocolate properly.
