A Message from Archbishop GustavoBrothers and Sisters in Christ,

Thanks be to God! We have surpassed $55 million in gifts and pledges and are at 92% of our goal! So far about 18,000 families have contributed, and I am most grateful to them, our priests, and all our volunteers who have persevered in running this race of the On the Way - ¡Andale! Capital Campaign!

I have already approved over 230 Parish projects and 7 Archdiocesan Projects that are now in progress. From parking lots, A/C units, and roof repairs to Catholic School renovations, a Science Wing, new kitchens, new classrooms and Adoration chapels. Every project is important and makes our parishes more beautiful, more inviting, and a welcoming home for all of us, new and current Catholics alike.

In the Archdiocese of San Antonio, we are growing! As Jesus tells us in Luke’s Gospel, “By your perseverance, you will secure your lives!” We have a great opportunity to tend to the growth of our archdiocese, and we are so close to our goal. (President Bryan Grundhoefer and Mary Jo Grundhoefer) the El Camino de San

Antonio Missions Pilgrimage Center will break ground very soon.

Thanks to the lead donors Mark and KK Stevenson and many other’s generosity

to St. John Paul II School’s On the Way - ¡Ándale! Project, the Stevenson

Advancement Wing opened for students for the 2019-2020 School Year.

St. Gregory the Great completed theirparish project of a new roof for their

multi-purpose building.

St. James - Seguin completed their projectsof new security cameras and a new

gathering space for youth.

Blessed Sacrament completed their parish project of new LED lights for the main sanctuary.

St. Ann completed their parish project of a newA/C unit for the Church.

St. John the Evangelist broke ground on their new Adoration Chapel, which is in memory of Gloria Arriaga.

Vietnamese Martyrs completed their building and new Altar for their temporary worship space.

St. Pius X opened up Holy Grounds coffeeshop and renovated their kitchen.

As a leader of the Church in San Antonio, I am aware of the blessings of growth and it’s challenges! This Capital Campaign is a most important way for us to go forward! My mom always told me that we were never “poor” as long as we have something to share. It was a joy to do so for this campaign!
