2013-2014 Highlights
104 Current Members (including 6 new members: BECWA, Harmo-
ny Fitness & Coaching, HSA, Milestone Senior Living, Orthopaedic
Concepts, Reuseable Future, and Sister’s on Main
Chamber Newsletters & Eblasts were sent regularly to communi-
cate upcoming events and other items of interest. The Chamber
Website was consistently updated with postings of events and per-
tinent business and community information. Expanded advertising
& sponsorship opportunities.
Several membership meetings held including; Annual dinner,
Healthcare Reform, Dave Phillips – County Executive meet and
greet, Paul Jadin – MadRep Intro/partnering meeting, and annual
golf outing. The Chamber Board, Event Team and Business Devel-
opment Committee also held monthly meetings working towards
the mission of the Chamber.
Promotional support of community including Easter Egg Hunt, Tur-
key Trot, Pub Crawl, Optimists Events, Babe Ruth Baseball, Spike
Rhetts Tournament, Village News, Hill & Valley Antique Auto/
Americana Show (record attendance), Trout Days, Cabin Fever,
Santa Visit and the Cross Plains World’s Fair. Also promoted Rib-
bon Cuttings at Cross Plains Community Bank and at the Celebra-
tion of the Remeandering of the Black Earth Creek.
Created and marketed Community Guide and Membership Direc-
tory.
Organized and hosted community events; Chicken BBQ and Taste
of Cross Plains—highlighted our natural resources with hiking, bik-
ing, a family boat regatta, Lion’s train rides for kids, and a sampling
of some of our local food establishments. Partnered with the Vil-
lage, DNR, BECWA and Ice Age Trail Alliance to build awareness of
local amenities. Fourth Annual Business Fair.

2013-2014 Highlights
Formulating and building statewide and regional relationships
with chambers, other civic/business organizations such as Mad-
Rep, Wisconsin Department of Tourism, and Wisconsin Chamber
of Commerce Executives (WCCE). Expanded relationships with
Madison College, Globe University, Small Business Development
Center and Economic and Workforce Development. Economic
Development work and partnering with Madison Gas and Electric.
Continued support and promotion of buy local program with
Chamber Bucks.
Health Care Plans Offered to Chamber Members.
Implemented ChamberMaster, the leading Web Based Member
Management Software for Chambers. Members have the ability
to customize their business information which then feeds to the
Chamber website. Business description, hours, social media ac-
counts, hot deals, events and hiring positions are a few of the
things that can be utilized to draw traffic to member businesses.
The Chamber has positioned itself in a lead role for the upcoming
construction projects. Task Force leads and teams have been im-
plemented. A new section has been created on the website with
the latest news.
Kicked off new Ambassador Program to increase membership re-
tention by improving communications with our membership and
increasing membership involvement and support of all Chamber
events and activities.

Chamber Four Key Issue Areas
Business Development Promote new businesses to the
chamber area and assist existing businesses in their growth.
Communication The Chamber strives to provide infor-
mation to keep entire community educated on area and village
issues and happenings and the chamber’s involvement.
Networking The Chamber will provide opportunities to con-
nect with other business members to help improve and promote
your business.
Community Support Chamber works cooperatively with area
events that foster a sense of community and enhance awareness
