NAPLAN - 2016 During Week 3 of Term 2 Tuesday 10th, Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th May, students in Years 7 and 9 will undertake the NAPLAN (National Assessment Program) with the other Year 7 and 9 students in all schools across Australia. If students miss any of these assessments they can undertake them on the Catch-up Day, Friday 13th May.
It’s important that students try hard when they undertake these tests so that they can be supported in their literacy and/or numeracy development while at school.
Students in Years 7 and 9 received a “Letter to Parents” on Friday 1st May; if your child was absent from school on this day, please contact me for a copy of the letter that outlines aspects of NAPLAN which is available for parents’ information.
More details on our school’s organisation will be available during weeks 1 and 2 of term 2.
Thanks, Christine Bell, Learning and Support Teacher.

A big thank you to Mr Srinivasalu and the

We are currently recruiting new Adult Leaders for our Scout Group.
We currently have youth members from the ages of 6 to 15 and we are looking for people to help teach skills,
experience and share with these kids. Scouting is all about giving Kids experience and general knowledge that they
may not otherwise receive. Different age groups meet on different nights anywhere from 1 hour a week to 2 hours
a week depending on age. Camps and weekend activities are also available. Scouting is a great way to get to be a
kid again whilst improving many children’s lives.
If this sounds like something that would be of interest please contact me for more information. All training is
provided free of charge to approved applicants as well as real people support and on line learning, support and
ideas.
We are also looking for a group Leader or manager.
If interested please contact me.
