Airport pick up and immediate drive towards a Cloud Forest Hotel & Nature Reserve within the borders of a private biological sanctuary in country-styled casitas to relax from your flight at the Cloud Forest Wellness Center pine wood sauna and hot tub, with the Serenity Spa therapists. Welcome dinner at your resort.

After a full breakfast, towards La Fortuna area and the newly finished best luxurious resort with a spectacular view of the Arenal Volcano, natural hot and cold springs, four unique dining experiences, and an impressive full service Spa. Your room view will also include the lush valley and the surrounding towns that sparkle at night, countless comfortable hours in your balcony hammock, al fresco dining, or sipping a frothy tropical cocktail in one of the spring pools. 2MONDAYARENAL – MONTEVERDE – FROG POND

Full morning at Arenal to enjoy the resort and after lunch, 30 minute cruise across Arenal Lake. At the Rio Chiquito dock, a mini bus will be waiting for a 1.5 hour ride drive up to Monteverde. On the hotel property, you will find lush forests and verdant pastures that are excellent for birding and hiking - parrots and toucans come to feed in the wild fruit trees.  Visit to the Monteverde Frog Pond, run by a team of biologists and conservationists, much more than a zoo of amphibians. Optional activities include: Bat Jungle, Art Galleries, Coffee Tour, Cheese Factory, Orchid Garden, Butterfly Garden, Snake Farm

TUESDAY

MONTEVERDE – FOREST RESERVE

Visit to the private reserve of Monteverde. The vision includes wind sculptured elfin woodlands on the exposed ridges spectacularly dwarfed, whereas protected cove forests have majestically tall trees festooned with orchids, bromeliads, ferns, vines, and mosses, giant tree ferns, bamboo and palm trees in the under story,  while thick moss covered liana vines dangle from the canopy. Spectacular wildlife includes Baird’s Tapir, Three-wattled Bellbird, Barenecked Umbrellabird and Resplendent Quetzal. Guided nocturnal tours start at 7:15 p.m. Special tours for birdwatchers.

MONTEVERDE - CARARA NATIONAL PARK - MANUEL ANTONIO

Transportation towards Manuel Antonio and on the new Coastway Highway bordering the ocean with wonderful views. The coastal highway crosses the Río Tárcoles, where you can nearly always spot crocodiles basking on the banks of the river, also a good spot to watch for the 150 scarlet macaws that nest and feed throughout the reserve. Visit to the Carara National Park. Lunch at popular Jaco Beach. Arrival to Manuel Antonio National Park in the afternoon at your exclusive beach front hotel. Activities include: walk along Espadillas Beach; enjoy spectacular Pacific sunsets; the famous Tico Sours at the bar; be lulled by the sounds of the sea with a massage on the beach.

THURSDAY

MANUEL ANTONIO NATIONAL PARK

Breakfasts are delicious... Full beach day with a visit to the National Park in the morning for a hike through the rainforest with your guide pointing to white faced capuchin and squirrel monkeys swinging through the trees, sloths, exotic birds and the views from Cathedral Point. Free afternoon, maybe for some surf lessons?

MANUEL ANTONIO

No activities are planned for this day, free for optional tours, or just resting at the beach.

SATURDAY MANUEL ANTONIO – SAN JOSE

We suggest afternoon departure flights since we are three hours away from the airport. Departure and check out at 6:30am. Towards the Juan Santamaria International Airport.
