Brethren, The date is set. On Thurs-day, April 26, 2018, we will be hav-ing the Veteran’s Award Presenta-tion for Worshipful Peter “Pete” Imperial Cabacungan, PM. This is such a great and glorious event to witness and celebrate, a brother of our own beloved Lodge reached this level of membership and dedi-cation. Worshipful Pete has been very active in our Lodge. In all these years, he seldom missed a stated meeting. He can be seen volunteer-ing in other Lodge events such as helping out in packaging food for the needy at the San Francisco Food Bank. He has been a con-stant participant in Past Masters Night performing any position he was asked to do. Worshipful Pete and I prac-tically grew up together in the early days of Filipino immigrants in the Bay Area. He was a good business-
man who professionally practiced in the field of Real Estate, Insurance and Finance. He also helped his blood and fraternal brother, Wor-shipful Jun Caba, another Past Mas-ter, managed his thriving jewelry business. Whenever you see him, he will always greet you with his boyish smile. He is a natural born salesman and had always dealt honestly with all the transactions. A Masonic trait embedded and practiced through all his life. These are just a few of the Masonic traits that he demonstrat-ed, and for me to mention every-thing, this page will not be enough. Other kudos and accolades will be mentioned at the night of this grand event. I urge all members to attend and witness this momentous event. This is also a public event. Please RSVP to our Junior and Senior War-dens and myself. We had DSOI (District School of Instruction) in our Lodge last March 22 which was well attended and our Officers exempli-fied the First Degree conferral and I am proud that we passed with “flying colors”. Worshipful Wilson, our Inspector, congratulated us via email the same night. I also noticed that Worshipful Hercules Valdez, another Inspector, sitting in a cor-

ner gave the nod of approval after. Kudos to our officers and most es-pecially to Worshipful Mario Dayrit, our Officers’ Coach, for being so patient in instilling the ritual in our brains. “Time, patience and perse-verance will accomplish all things”. Our Pillars, with our Senior Deacon will be attending the Mas-ters and Wardens’ Retreat in Lake Tahoe during the last weekend of April. This Retreat is not only educa-tional but also social. We will be meeting with other Officers from other Lodges and most importantly some Grand Lodge Officers and learn more from their wisdom. We will be sharing with you our learning
experience from the Retreat. Other schedule of events that we will be having like sup-porting public schools, street and public parks cleanup, helping in feeding the homeless in a nearby shelter, awarding, and recognizing the Daly City Police and Fire De-partment, will be announced later. My brothers, I can only do all these with your aid and assis-tance. Yours in Masonry, Fraternally yours, Renato N. Santos Master

On the Level
Masonic Responsibility There are three great re-sponsibilities that must be met by every true Mason. No individ-ual can be a successful Mason, or no group of Masons can make up a successful Masonic Lodge, un-less those three responsibilities are fully met and fully mastered. Our first responsibility is to our God, whose loving mercy and tender care has so guided us through the ages, and has given us the inspiration necessary for the progress we have made in establishing and maintaining the peace, prosperity, and happiness that we have so enjoyed down through the ages. Our next responsibility is to our Homes in which are found those priceless possessions that will make the future citizens of our land, and our responsibility as examples to them, and as the
factors of encouragement and inspiration, is a responsibility that no Mason can brush aside lightly and fulfill his obligation. This responsibility does not stop at our own home, but reaches into other homes as well and more especially into the homes of the under-privileged children. Let us not overlook our responsibility to the youth of this land. Our next responsibility is to our Government. It is true our government may not always be what we would like but there is no more disgusting attitude than criticizing our government. Then refrain from criticism that will weaken the strongest struc-ture. Masonic responsibility is always an important factor, but today what is essential to our fu-ture well being and to every Ma-son is to take more time and effort in carrying out the obliga-tions that are his, remembering at all times to be good and true to ourselves and as a good example to everyone. My Brothers, we can’t spell S CCESS without “U”! What a successful “All You Can Eat American & Filipino Break-fast” event we just concluded! Every guest raved that it was a well-organized and smoothly executed gathering. With the attendance of the brethren and brethren from oth-er lodges, family and friends brightly lighted up the Jack Palmer Hall and certainly “is the great aim we have in view”. A big thank you to all of the Brethren and Sisters of Crocker Lodge No. 212! There are too many of you to name individually, but if it were not for your hard work and support, it could not have been such a triumph. The month of April is the Official Visit of Worshipful Gerald M. Wilson, Inspector of 151st Masonic District, and Veteran’s Award Presentation to Worshipful Peter “Pete” I. Cabacungan PM. Please
come out and show your support. We hope to see each and every one of you in our upcoming events: Stated Meeting/Inspector visit on April 05, 2018.
