Let´s start:
We are crocheting in rows!
At first crochet 1 half ch on your hook. Begin to crochet your half chain by grabbing the yarn and don´t grab the yarn a 2nd time, simply pull the thread and hold it (see pictures).
R1: 4 sc in your ring / button, 1ch, turnWhen crocheting the first sc in your ring / button take care that the button or ringfront is looking at you.

R2: 4 sc, turn
Reapeat R2 until the ring fits around your finger. The ring should not be loose fit because it´s stretchable when it´s finished.
This is how I check if the ring fits to my size:

Now the ring has to be closed. For this turn it on the left side. This means the backside of your ring / button should be on the outside, facing to you.Sting in the first st, through your ring / button and grab the yarn back through your 1st st again.
Now you have 2 loops on your hook. Finish your sc by grabbing the yarn again and pull it through the 2 loops.Repeat with last 3 loops, weave in ends and enjoy your new jewelry! :)
When the ring is getting a bit loosely then just make it wet and let it dry on your finger.
