Special Notes• Join unless stated otherwise.
• You must know how to join new colour.
• This pattern is worked in rounds with turning your work, by alternating right side to wrong side with each round to work in opposite directions.
• You must know how to crochet and know the basic crochet stitches, such as single crochet, half double crochet, slip stitch and crab stitch to use this pattern.
• You must know how to double thread a needle and whip stitch.
Measure a long enough tail, lay yarn from tail over three fingers and wrap tail around fingers to form a circle ending tail in front of the ball yarn (two loops). Place your hook through the first loop and grab the back loop and bring it to the front of first loop. Yarn over (yo) using the ball yarn and pull through, insert hook in centre, yarn over (yo) and pull through again ending with a single crochet or half double crochet (hdc). This counts as the first stitch made, and keep on working around both the tail and ball yarn u n t i l you have the suitable number of stitches. When you make it to end, gently pull on the yarn tail to close up the circle.
This stitch is worked backwards from left to right. Starting at end of round of stitches, either single crochet (sc) or half double crochet (hdc), chain one, then insert hook into s t i t c h right of hook with hook facing right, pull t h r o u g h s t i t c h , turn hook towards left, grab yarn and pull through. With two loops on hook, yarn over (yo) and pull through both loops.TIP: Ensure yarn is loose, so it can move easily through the stitches. You will begin to see the decorative edging of the crab stitch (cs) or reversed single crochet (rsc) after a few completed stitches.

I am a spouse, mother of two and artisan. I farm with my family by day in a small village in Northern Ontario. By night, I like to tinker in the studio. I a m a s e l f - t a u g h t a r t i s t , specializing in stained glass and crochet.
I first was introduced to crochet in 2009. I just fell in love! I was fascinated by all the lovely stitches and items one could make in crochet. From then on, I was determined to learn all there was to know about this versatile craft. I have designed numerous pieces for family and friends; however, I never had the time to sit and write out a pattern. It has always been a dream of mine to write, and I could not think of a better way to express this love by writing patterns!
I hope my work can inspire you, and I wish we become friends for years to come.
Stay Stunning Stitching!
