BackgroundI have had my eye on Croatia for some time and have made some good friends there which have helped to create the perfect ingredients for a great flying holiday.

Croatia is a real up and coming location for paragliding and it appears to have it all with large grassy landing fields and easy take offs. In fact just last year an artificial grass take off was created at one of the most popular flying sites in Tribalj, making launching at this site possible even for the most inexperienced pilot.

One of the key features for me is it is a location that can be enjoyed by all levels of pilot. There really is something for everyone with both stunning coastal soaring and inland thermalling for great XC potential.

Another great feature of this trip is the accommodation. Whilst basic the apartments are clean and are situated in a beautiful location. They are just underneath our main launch and the views from the terrace are stunning (the image on the front of this brochure is the view from the apartments at sunset!).

Airport pick-up: There are several airports to choose from however having lookedat flights the best deal we have found is with Ryanair from London Stansted to Trieste. To benefit from the free airport pick up please book the following Ryanair flights:

Outbound: departing Stansted 12:20 arriving Trieste 15:25 Return: departing Trieste 15:50 arriving Stansted 17:00.

Alternative airports for Tribalj: • Rijeka (20 minutes)• Pula (1hr 40)• Zagreb-Pleso (2hr+) • Ljubljana-Joze Pucnik (2hr+) . If you opt to arrive into any of the above airports we are happy to provide information on car hire and taxi’s.

Wi-Fi: It may be possible to make occasional trips to an internet café throughout the week, however please note there is no internet access at the house.
