ABOUT CROATIA It is situated in South-East Europe at the crossroads of the Adriatic Sea and the Pannonian Plain
Croatia borders with Hungary, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Italy
Population of the country is 4.28 million peopleAlong the Croatian Adriatic coast there are more than a thousand islands
National anthem is „Lijepa naša domovino” (”Our Beautiful Homeland”)
Croatia became independant from Yugoslavia in 1991
