II. Critical reading questions 1. Do you agree or disagree with the position of the author? I agree because is well known now a day that domestic workers in general, in most of the countries, are not considered as a serious job and there is not legal support for them. There are a lot of countries where domestic workers are not well treated and their rights are passed away. The author use a country as an example; Pakistan 2. What do you think of the Islamic perspective on women’s work? I think is a right way of treating workers specially woman’s. I our times woman work is taking more and more importance; however there are still some countries that don’t follow this improvement. The Islamic people support workers, including domestic workers, and support them legally speaking. This way of treating workers, helps people to live better and happier. In my opinion a lot of countries should take this Islamic point of view as an example for them and applied in their own country. 3. Are there any similarities or differences between the situation of the domestic workers in Pakistan and domestic workers in Chile. Yes, in Chile as is in Pakistan there are not regulations in domestic workers and the law does not support them. In Chile, domestic workers generally earn only the minimum salary of this country, and their aren’t any empowering for them that helps to respect their rights, so you can see some type of abuse such as in Pakistan. However in Chile domestic workers are not passed away as it happens in Pakistan.

4. Is there any responsibility of international organizations in face this violation of rights? Justify your answer.

I don’t think that international organizations are responsible for this problem. There are a few organizations that helps domestic workers but in some countries and in most of the cases they do all that is in their power to support workers, and is almost impossible that it can help all workers around the world. I think that the real and main responsible of this problem are the governments of some countries. This people should realize of the damage that cause this type of abuses and present some solution for this
