POEM

My voice, Oscar Wilde

Within this restless, hurried, modern world AWe took our hearts' full pleasure--You and I,B

And now the white sails of our ship are furled, AAnd spent the lading of our argosy. B

Wherefore my cheeks before their time are wan, AFor very weeping is my gladness fled, B

Sorrow has paled my young mouth's vermilion, AAnd Ruin draws the curtains of my bed. B

But all this crowded life has been to thee ANo more than lyre, or lute, or subtle spell B

Of viols, or the music of the sea AThat sleeps, a mimic echo, in the shell. B

Rhyme and rythm

This poem rhyme the first line of the third and the second to fourth in each stanza (ABAB). The lines have ten syllables. This poem has a easy rhythm.

Personal response

I really liked this poem because I think the author’s situation is very sad, because the woman who leaves the author if can be his mother or sister and because I think my mother or my grandmother died the world fall down over me. I think the author is sad because his projects, hopes and plans with this woman are truncated and his life will never be the same again.

SONG

Pursuit of happiness, Kid kudi

Mmmm ooohh... hey... Ratata... yeah... nah nah nah... nah nah nah

Crush a bit, little bit, Roll it up, take a hit, Feeling lit, feeling right, 2am, summer night, I don't care,

hand on the wheel, driving drunk I'm doing my thang, rolling in the mid beside me now, living my life,

getting my dreams, people told me slow my road,I'm screaming out "fuck that", I'm a do just what I want,

looking ahead no turning back, if I fall if I die, know I lived it to the fullest, if I fall if I die,

know I lived than missing bullets.

[Chorus:]I'm on the pursuit of happiness and I know,

everything is shining all is gonna be gold (hey),I'll be fine once I get it, I'll be gooooooooood. [x2]

Tell me what you know about dreamin (dreamin),You ain't really know bout nothin (nothin),

tell me what you know about the night terrors every night,5am cold sweats, waking up to the sky,

Tell me what you know about dreams (dreams),tell me what you know about night terrors nothin,

you don't really care about the trials of tomorrow, rather lay awake in the bed full of sorrow.

Kid Kudi

Kid Kudi was born on January 30, 1984 in Cleveland, Ohio. Kid Kudi is an alternative hip hop recording artist.

Argument's song

The argument of this song is a boy or girl looking for happiness smoking and got drunkand doing what she or he wants. I think in this song the authors wants to transmit the results ofconsumeing drugs.

Vocabularypeople told me slow my road: ablandar el caminolooking ahead no turning back: mirando para adelante sin volver atrasYou ain't really know bout nothin: no se sabe realmente 9

waking up to the sky: despertando al cieloyou don't really care about the trials of tomorrow: no se preocupan por las pruebas del mañanarather lay awake in the bed full of sorrow: tirado en cama lleno de tristeza

Personal response

I really like this song because it reminds me the last summer when I had good experiences training, in the competitions with my friends and in some parties, in particular the moment when my teammate Andrea and I were classifited for the first final in the Spanish Championship, we went to the jetty very happy and excited and I gave er a big hug to celebrate the good position.
