Cristiano Ronaldo was born and raised in a working class neighbourhood on the Portuguese Island of Madeira.

He officially began playing football in 2003 for Club called Andorinha del Santo Antonio by the age of ten.

Ronaldo joined National da +Madeira, where he continued his career and one year later he was on the move to Lisborn,where he signed for sporting in 2001.

He is still the only player in the club history to be promoted by four academy teams until departing with his first team in one season.

another record by becoming the World's most expensive football player, after transferring from Manchester United to Real Madrid in July 2009.

They bought Ronaldo for 80 million pounds transfer but Ronaldo said no a bit higher so they went to around 94 million euros and 132 million US dollars.
