CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL'S CHRONICLE: 20 GREATEST HITS CERTIFIED DIAMOND STATUS BY RIAA RARE CERTIFICATION MARKS 10 MILLION SALES AND STREAMS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE June 16, 2016 Los Angeles, CA - Concord Bicycle Music and Concord Music Group are proud to announce the Diamond certification by the RIAA of Creedence Clearwater Revival's Chronicle: 20 Greatest Hits. Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, Chronicle includes all of CCR's charting hits, including such iconic songs as "Proud Mary," "Bad Moon Rising," "Down on the Corner" and "Have You Ever Seen the Rain." Since the inception of the Diamond Award in 1999, which marks 10 million in album sales, plus album-equivalent streams and track sales, only some 120 albums have achieved this benchmark status. Chronicle joins such esteemed company as Michael Jackson's Thriller, Guns N' Roses Appetite for Destruction and The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Chief Catalog Officer of Concord Bicycle Music Sig Sigworth remarked, "The influence of Chronicle is awe-inspiring, and proves the timeless appeal of Creedence Clearwater Revival around the world. This album has introduced multiple generations to the band, and, in its many formats, shows no sign of slowing down." This honor truly signifies the indelible mark that Creedence Clearwater Revival's music has made on popular culture. Between 1968 and 1972, the Northern California-based band released seven albums on Fantasy Records: Creedence Clearwater Revival, Bayou Country, Green River, Willy and the Poor Boys, Cosmo's Factory, Pendulum and Mardi Gras. 1976's Chronicle remains CCR's best-selling album, representing the incredible creative output of John Fogerty, Tom Fogerty, Doug Clifford and Stu Cook over a very short period of time. The collection continues to resonate with fans, four decades later. For more information on Creedence Clearwater Revival, please contact Joel Amsterdam: [email protected] .
