Assemble CPL/PLA Subcommittee
First work will be on the policy. Most of the work of the team will be focused on establishing procedures and supporting implementation over the course of the grant.

The CPL SubcommitteeMet for the first time February 28, 2014
Representatives were chosen for their expertise in particular roles. Currently soliciting nominations of manufacturing/CTE faculty, transfer faculty and advisors.
We have one industry representative but could use more.
As the work goes forward, colleges will be asked to designate a “PLA person” to work with committee members as a local contact

The CPL Subcommittee ChargeResearch and identify best practices in CPL and Prior Learning Assessment (PLA)
Contribute to the process of expanding the current CCCS CPL handbook
Act in an advisory capacity to CAEL as they design the PLA for the CHAMP consortium
Identify training needs of colleges and partners
Support and contribute to the implementation process of the updated handbook
