Submission of Documents to Bureau of Human Resource Services

The following credential reviews are not preauthorized to AA:

Consideration of equivalent combinations of education and experience

Review of working-out-of-class experience

Review of non-state employee applicant credentials

Submission of Documents to Bureau of Human Resource Services (continued)

BHRS will conduct credential review upon request

AA will complete Request for Credential Review (CS-153) and submit documentation to liaison team

Liaison team will conduct the reviews and complete the CS-153 form to document decisions, and return to AA to continue selection process

AA may prescreen applicants before sending requests to BHRS

Technical Appeal Process

Only MDCS has authority to inform applicants that they do not meet minimum qualifications for a classification

If AA wants to have applicants specifically notified that they don’t meet minimum qualifications, they shall send a request to BHRS liaison team to issue a decision, along with applicant documentation

The Decision will be subject to technical appeal
