Students are required to make the story humorous, scary, suspenseful, creative, bold and colorful.
Students are given an opening statement: “We entered the woods cautiously and realized…”
“We entered the woods cautiously and immediately realized...”
…That this trip to the woods would be like no other we had ever been on…
“I’ve never seen so many beautiful trees!” Rachel said.
“And I’ve never seen such BIG trees!” yelled Ian.
“I wonder what type of animals we’ll find” said Lissette.
“I don’t even want to think about it…” said Ian
Suddenly Guy spoke up-
“Shhhhhh! Listen! Do you guys hear that?…”
Immediately, a mean bear came from behind a tree and roared at Ian! Ian screamed, “Aaaggghhh!”
Rachel and Lissette ran deep into the forest, but when the bear saw them, he chased after them!
In an effort to save their friends, Ian and Guy made a plan to get that mean old bear once and for all!
I have a GREAT idea!
Still frightened, Ian realized this bear was a mean bear and the only way to defeat him was to make him a happy bear!!
Ian whispered to Guy his great plan, and with a wave of his magic sword… Guy changed the mean, old, nasty bear into a….
... happy, fun, dancing bear!!
Huh?? What just happened here??
I can’t stop dancing!
Wh-Hoo Guy!! You Saved us!!
They all gathered around the bear to celebrate. Then Lissette spoke.
I have a great idea.
I hope that includes
food ‘cause I’m still hungry.Let’s
have a party!
Awesome!
Yeah!Ho-o!
So they all promised to be back in an hour with all they needed for their celebration. Rachel was in charge
of the food. (vegetarian)
Lissette was in charge of the music.
Guy and Ian were in charge of inviting more guests.
The bear went to go get his family.
So that day they had a jammin’ party in the woods.
… And they all lived happily ever after. –the END.

Hey Guy, what’s the
moral of the story
Never go into the woods without your magic sword.
Yeah, and don’t forget the other important lesson.
Good food and music always make for a jammin’ party!
