Was John BuchanMr Standfast?A thought-provoking talk on John Buchanand his faith given by the Very Reverend DrIan Bradley, Reader in Theology and Principalof St Mary’s College, St Andrews. JohnBuchan had two Mr Standfasts in his life –the original in John Bunyan’s Pilgrim’sProgress and the one he created in the thirdRichard Hannay adventure. Dr Bradley willpull the threads together in a compellingsermon, followed by refreshments in theformer Broughton Free Kirk where both JohnBuchan’s faith and his life’s adventure began.
