Creative LoftsThe Grade II listed building, dating from 1861 and last occupied by the Friendly and Trades Club, was converted into 21 units. Total investment is £2.4 million pounds, funded by developer North British Housing, English Partnerships, Single Regeneration Budget and Creative Town Initiative.

The Criteria for becoming a Tenant • The applicant is starting up or managing a

creative or media enterprise• That their business is soundly researched and

viable and that all relevant information including business plans will be made and continue to be made available to the landlord and their representatives

• That this business activity will be the primary purpose for the day-time usage of the apartment

• That the enterprise continues in active operation from the apartment for the duration of the tenancy

• That a balanced mix of creative and media enterprises within the building is maintained

• That the tenant complies with NBH’s guidelines and policies for tenants and maintains the apartment etc
