NON-SLIP Pineapple Trim Tool

This ruler features exclusive markings to help you create perfect 6", 8", or 10" pineapple blocks. Since each round is squared up before the next round of strips are added, the results are spectacular.Designed By: Jean Ann Wright

NON-SLIP Pineapple Trim Tool Block size: 6", 8", 10" finished blocks

CuttingCenter SquaresCut a precise 2 1/2" square.

StripsCut the strips any width as long as they are at least 1¾ - 2" wide. All strips must have a straight rotary cut edge on one long side. The strip ends and the opposite long side of the strips do not need to be rotary cut, they can be ripped, wavy or angled as the strips will be trimmed after sewing using the Pineapple Trim Tool. Cut all strips slightly longer than needed.

Rabbit Ear CornersThe blocks are squared off after the final round of strips is added. These corner units are called rabbit ears. Cut four – 2 1/2" x 4" units for these rabbit ears to complete the 6", 8", or 10" blocks.

SewingSew all seams with a scant 1/4” seam allowance. As you sew each round, finger press the seam allowances toward the added strips. As you add each round of strips they may not overlap but instead create a small space at the end of the strips. After all four strips for each round are stitched in place; press with an iron before trimming the round.

Sew Round #1To complete the first round, sew a strip to each side of the 2 1/2" center square. Strips may be sewn to opposite sides or in a clockwise rotation.

Cut Round #1 (angle) Place the white square marked 'Centering Square – Round #1' on the center square of the stitched unit. Trim all 4 sides.
