IRP is the ambassador of research agenda in Pakistan. The constant and untiring efforts of IRP for last six years have made significant change in the life of researchers. IRP covers the entire spectrum of research facilitation with a very unique and innovative model of research support services. IRP model of research support services provides integrated design of research learning and sharing. IRP combines the efforts of academia, industry and public sector to capitalize on unified purpose of R&D development in Pakistan. IRP is advised by top intellectuals of universities and practitioners of leading industries. IRP is a movement of research promotion in Pakistan through the support of volunteers from diverse disciplines. IRP invites all the well-wishers of R&D to join and contribute in the community service of research promotion. IRP for R&D Policy in Pakistan IRP faced serious challenges of industry projects in the universities. The current system is not in favor of applied research. No weight is given

to applied research in university ranking, faculty assessment, faculty work load, faculty performance and promotion, faculty recruitment,

projects review, financial allocation of universities and overall system support. How we can expect industry driven technology to come out if

zero value is given in overall environment. IRP and Pakistan Council of Science and Technology-PCST have planned this initiative to

liaison with stakeholders, develop policy proposals and mobilize for policy implementation.
