VOCATIONAL PLACEMENT
For those not currently employed in the community services industry, Essential Skills Training and Recruitment will work with you to secure an unpaid work experience placement with one of our local employers. This will give you hands on experience and have you job ready on completion of your course. Students will be required to undertake a set number of industry placement hours as indicated within your chosen qualification, before the completion of their qualification. All students will be required to undergo a criminal record check before being placed on work experience. Those working in disability services will also have to complete a working with children check, which will be at the cost of the student. If you are currently working in the community services sector you will need to provide evidence of your work hours, but this can be from your normal paid work, as long as it is applicable to your qualification. For example, if you are a cleaner in an aged care facility and you are undertaking a CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support, you will need to coordinate with your employer to get access to work experience in direct care.
COURSE FEES
An administration Fee of $500 is required on enrolment to cover administrative and resource costs, if course fees are below $500 then full payment will be required on enrolment. Employers will be invoiced the full course fee on enrolment if the course fee is under $1,000. Fees over $1,000 will be invoiced over 2 payments, 50% on enrolment and 50% half way through the course unless alternative arrangements are negotiated. Students enrolling in Certificate III or Certificate IV level qualifications will be invoiced over 3 payments, with the $500 administration fee being invoiced on enrolment. 50% of the fee remaining will be invoiced on commencement and the final 50% will be invoiced half way through the course. Students enrolling in Diploma or Advanced Diploma level qualifications will be invoiced over 5 payments, with the $500 administration fee being invoiced on enrolment. The fee remaining will be invoiced over 4 instalments over the first 10 months of the course. Agreed dates for payments will be finalised with the student at the time of confirmation of enrolment. If required a payment plan can be arranged to assist students to pay fees over the duration of the program If an individual student would like to pay their course fees off in weekly or fortnightly instalments so that the payments are smaller and more manageable, a direct debit payment plan will be arranged through a third-party provider called Debitsuccess Pty Ltd (ABN 32 095 551 581). Debitsuccess is a wholly owned subsidiary of TSG Holdings (AUST) No.2 Pty Ltd ABN 89 608 821 281 and a related company of Transaction Services Holdings Limited ARBN 125 664 860 (‘TSHL’). Through Debitsuccess, the course payments will be direct debited from a bank account or credit card according to the agreed frequency until all course fees are paid. Please note, an additional cost of $12 administration fee related to this service and an additional 4.4% (including GST) on top of the course fees if paying by debit card, 4.961% if paying by credit card, to be paid directly to DebitSuccess for their services. This additional fee is spread out over the term of the student’s contract. Essential Skills Training and Recruitment cannot accept more than $1,000 upfront from any individual student. This complies with our financial management policy to ensure fee protection for our students. See course listings for specific pricing. Government funding is available for eligible students living in NSW through the Smart and Skilled program. If a replacement textbook or learner guide is required by any student, the student will be required to pay for the cost of the replacement book, (between $15 - $120).
