Skype-a-thon is a fund-raising initiative taken by Microsoft to educate the children of WE Villages supported by the United Nations. Several VVP students interacted with the pioneers of the Microsoft group like Mr. Anthony Salcito, Mr. Anand Eswaran, Mr. Ross Smith, Mrs. Iro and Mrs. Lawren Roberts.

Travelling the world and learning and experiencing new things seems to be one of the most common dreams of all the people, especially children. However, this seems like a nearly impossible feat to be achieved at such a young age. This year, Vishwa Vidyapeeth had taken the initiative of taking the students on a world tour, virtually! Mr. Shivakumar from Microsoft, school staff and students worked round the clock to make this program a grand success. Within 48 hours, over 260 sessions were completed with 1157492 million miles covered. This was another badge of honour for our school as their mission of travelling more than a million miles was achieved.

10th Graduation DayTime flies - Nostalgic ReminiscencesThe day dawned bright and sunny. The grade 10 girls looked lovely in their yellow saris and the boys in their red kurtas. The auditorium was dressed in the colours of white and purple and looked splendid in all its glory. A beautiful rendition of a Rabindranath Sangeet Song filled the room with melody. Their class teacher introduced the children one by one, followed by the presentation of memory books and mementoes to the children by the Principal and Teacher Coordinator. An energetic medley dance followed, that had foot tapping music to liven up the mood. The parents spoke from their hearts. The singular thread that was common to all narrations was an immense gratitude they felt towards the school for playing such a vital role in the all-round development of their ward. The stars of the morning, the children of class 10 also spoke, each one of them, some from papers they carried, and some impromptu, but all of them spoke from the heart. The morning will carry bittersweet memories of parting of the event that was filled with nostalgia and emotions.

The outgoing batch of class X presented a very emotional skit on their last working day. They became nostalgic about everything related to school; their classroom, the uniform, the teachers and the students, and the food. They appreciated and acknowledged the love and support they received from the every one.
