    FIRSTFRUITS

I.) Firstfruits is an offering designed by the Lord to release blessings to

Gods people and finance the apostolic!

    Proverbs 3: 9 10

Honor the Lord with your possessions,

    And with the firstfruits of all your increase;

So your barns will be filled with plenty,

And your vats will overflow with new wine.

    Ezekiel 44: 30

The best of all firstfruits of any kind, and every sacrifice of any kind from all

your sacrifices, shall be the priests; also you shall give to the priest the first of your ground meal, to cause a blessing to rest on your house.

II.) The High Priest is the shadow of the substance of the Apostle.

    Hebrews 3: 1

Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the

Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus

Apostle is a New Testament term.

High Priest is the Old Testament term.

This verse links the two together.

When we read about the High Priest of the Old Testament we are reading

about the Apostle of the New Testament.

III.) Firstfruits is a different offering than the tithe.

  • Nehemiah 10: 37

to bring the firstfruits of our dough, our offerings, the fruit from all kinds of

trees, the new wine and oil, to the priests, to the storerooms of the house of

our God; and to bring the tithes of our land to the Levites, for the Levites

should receive the tithes in all our farming communities.

    II Chronicles 31: 5

As soon as the commandment was circulated, the children of Israel brought in

abundance the firstfruits of grain and wine, oil and honey, and of all the

produce of the field; and they brought in abundantly the tithe of everything.

Tithe is what is brought AFTER the harvest!

Firstfruits is what is brought BEFORE the harvest

IV.) Firstfruits is always a part of the restoration process.

    Acts 3: 21

whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which

God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.

Hezekiah and Nehemiah reinstituted firstfruits and the tithe during their

    restoration process.

V.) Firstfruits consecrates what you love to God.

    Romans 11: 16

For if the firstfruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are

    the branches.

    Ezekiel 44: 30

The best of all firstfruits of any kind, and every sacrifice of any kind from all

your sacrifices, shall be the priests; also you shall give to the priest the first of your ground meal, to cause a blessing to rest on your house.

    VI.) Firstfruits aligns apostolically

    Numbers 18: 12 14

All the best of the oil, all the best of the new wine and the grain,

their firstfruits which they offer to the Lord, I have given them to

you. Whatever first ripe fruit is in their land, which they bring to

the Lord, shall be yours. Everyone who is clean in your house may

    eat it.

Every devoted thing in Israel shall be yours.

    People gave tithes to Levites

    Numbers 18: 21

Behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tithes in Israel as an inheritance in return for the work which they perform, the work of the

    tabernacle of meeting.

    Levites tithe to High Priest

    Numbers 18: 26 28

Speak thus to the Levites, and say to them: When you take from the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them as your inheritance, then

you shall offer up a heave offering of it to the Lord, a tenth of the tithe. 27And

your heave offering shall be reckoned to you as though it were the grain of the

threshing floor and as the fullness of the winepress. 28Thus you shall also offer

a heave offering to the Lord from all your tithes which you receive from the

  • children of Israel, and you shall give the LordS heave offering from it to Aaron the priest.

The Apostolic/High Priest provision came from the tithe of the Levites and the

    Firstfruits of the people.

This allowed the people to be aligned with both local church/pastoral and with

    the apostolic.

VII.) Firstfruits is an offering that remembers God through an act of worship.

    Deuteronomy 26: 1 3

And it shall be, when you come into the land which the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, and you possess it and dwell in it, that you shall

take some of the first of all the produce of the ground, which you shall bring

from your land that the Lord your God is giving you, and put it in a basket

and go to the place where the Lord your God chooses to make His name

abide. And you shall go to the one who is priest in those days, and say to him,

I declare today to the Lord your God that I have come to the country which the Lord swore to our fathers to give us.

    Deuteronomy 26: 10 11

and now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land which

you, O Lord, have given me. Then you shall set it before the Lord your God, and worship before the Lord your God. 11So you shall rejoice in every good thing which the Lord your God

has given to you and your house, you and the Levite and the stranger who is

    among you.

    Deuteronomy 8: 18

And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to

your fathers, as it is this day.

Remembering the Lord was through the act of firstfruits.

  • When they remembered the Lord through firstfruits, God gave them power to

    get wealth.
