Created Free Born Free 1. In the beginning God created man Genesis 1:26, 27. 2. Man was created with Spiritual Freedom, that is, freedom from sin or morally upright Ecclesiastes 7:29. 3. Man was also created with Psychological Free-dom, he was created free Acts 22:28. 4. From the statements God made to man it can be seen that human beings were created with certain basic freedoms Genesis 1:28, 29; 2:16, 17. 5. The following is a listing of the Freedoms we were created with.

(i) Freedom of Thought, (ii) Freedom of Belief, (iii) Freedom of Conscience, (iv) Freedom of Choice, (v) Freedom of Opinion, (vi) Freedom of Speech, (vii) Freedom of Expression, (viii) Freedom of Movement

6. What are Freedoms? Freedoms are the unfettered powers or abilities of man that are all subject to his direction; (i) Freedoms are human operational abilities. (ii) Freedoms are psychological functional abilities.

6

7. Personal Freedoms show certain nobilities about man as he was created by God:

(i) Freedoms identify man as king of his body, time, talents and influence. (ii) Freedoms show that man is not a slave, but an autonomous being; created free. (iii) Freedoms show that man has the power of self-determination unhindered by anyone.

(8) Personal Freedoms are truly divided into two

basic categories. These are: (i) Private Domain Freedoms, and (ii) Public Domain Freedoms.

(9) The following are the Private Domain Free-doms.

(i) Freedom of Thought, (j) Freedom of Belief, (k) Freedom of Conscience, (l) Freedom of Choice, and (m) Freedom of Opinion.

(10) What are Private Domain Freedoms? They are: (a) Freedoms that operate in the private domain of

the mind. (b) Freedoms that are so private that no one can ini-

tially know how they are being used. (c) Freedoms of the thoughts of the mind, thus they

cannot be monitored by man. (d) Freedoms that are so private they are not subject

to legislation or government regulation. (e) Freedoms that are so secret that the possessor

can keep their contents and direction secret and

7

hidden from the public. (f) Freedoms that are so secret and hidden they give

the holder mental initiative over everyone of them.

(g) Freedoms that make the individual autonomous from the blind control or exploitation of any rul-ing power that cannot read minds and thus can-not know the persuasion or direction of the indi-vidual.

(h) Freedoms that make a person immune from be-ing found out to avoid being out-maneuvered or enslaved.

(i) Freedoms that allows one to restrict the infor-mation he/she does not want anyone else to know.

(11) Thus the advantages a person gains from the Private Domain Freedoms makes him/her all of the following:

(a) King of one’s existence, (b) Ruler of one’s own destiny, (c) Master of one’s own influence, (d) Controller of one’s life, (e) Free from all men.

(12) It must be understood that it is up to the indi-vidual to choose to commit the following actions regarding his/her Private Domain Freedoms: (a) Give up these Freedoms to others under decep-

tion or force. (b) Maintain these Freedoms under threats, loss of

private property, torture, pain and even death. (13) Now we come to the Public Domain Free-

8

doms. They are: (i) Freedom of Speech, (ii) Freedom of Expression, and (iii) Freedom of Movement.

(14) Public Domain Freedoms are freedoms that are: (a) Subject to a certain limited measure of govern-

ment legislation. (b) Freedoms individuals use to expose the content

and direction of Private Domain Freedoms. (c) Freedoms that used to carve out social influ-

ence. (d) Freedoms that used to affect others for good or

for evil. (15) Under Public Domain Freedoms the following points apply to Freedom of Speech and Expression. (a) Freedom of Speech and Expression about Reli-

gious matters are off-limits to government legis-lation.

(b) Freedom of Speech and Expression that criticize government, religions, personalities, etc. are off-limits to government legislation.

(c) Freedom of Speech and Expression must not be restricted in order to protect the offense of per-sons or to palliate their threats of civil disobedi-ence.

(d) The limits of Freedom of Speech and Expres-sion are libel, slander, carnal knowledge, ob-scene language, judicial necessities, incitement to murder, and to a certain measure state secu-rity.

(16) These facts about Private and Public Domain Freedoms reveal that man was indeed created free Joshua 24:14, 15. (17) But Freedom has a much deeper meaning than just Psychological Freedom or Social Freedom. This deeper meaning is called Spiritual Freedom; which is as follows: (a) A purposeful functioning that makes one escape

harm and things he see as undesirable, (b) An escaping of misdirecting deception, (c) A typological function that preserves others

from harm from other individuals. (18) Without this type of freedom the following realities occur. (a) One is lost in perpetual darkness of deception

Isaiah 8:21, 22. (b) One transgresses God’s Law for preserving him-

self and others, and is helpless in that state John 8:34.

(c) One becomes a slave to forces in his environ-ment. They become temptations that he cannot escape yielding to them (Luke 8:13. James 1:14.)

(19) It is this Spiritual Freedom that the Bible spoke of when we were told that Jesus makes us free indeed John 8:36. (20) This freedom is freedom from sin Romans 6:6, 7, 18. (21) This freedom comes from the new birth of the

10

Spirit (John 3:5-8. 1John 3:9). (22) It is being born of the Word of God James 1:18. 1Peter 1:23). (23) It is being born into sinlessness 1John 5:18. (24) It is the gift of the Spirit that causes liberty, i.e. freedom (Galatians 3:7-9, 14; 4:6. 2Corinthians 3:17, 18.). (25) This freedom is obedience to the Law of God (Romans 6:18. Psalms 119:172).
