Step 1. Import picsfrom your picture collection file.

In order to edit a particular image, be sure it is highlighted/selected.

Here are buttons for editing:

Contrast Red-eye Rotating image Edit [other edit options]

Be sure to save often.

Step 2. Title images(if necessary).

Step 3. (optional)Type in your Script for each Image.

Step 4. Record eachImage’s voice-over. Be sure to plug in boththe headphone and microphone cords for this process.

Step 5. (optional) Select this function to customize movement of each image (for emphasis).SEE FOLLOWING PAGE.

Change window sizesFor both the start andEnd positions.

Here you may customizethe timing to either speed up or slow down the effect.

You can change transition effects between images.

Be sure to save often.

Step 6. If you want to use copyright free music, use Soundzabound through the Library’s Digital Databasesto search for and save music to your Photostory file folder. Then you are ready . . .

Notice these bars. They denote music that will play during the image frames that are below them. In order to select music for a frame, highlight/ select the image frame and then click the ‘select music’ button.

Adjust the volume to make sure your Script can still be heard over your music.

Step 7. Save your Project as a movie file•Select “Save your story for playback on your computer”•Select “Browse”•Select “Desktop”•Name the file with Your Class period Last Name Time Period Role (be sure the extension is .wmv)

• Example: 1ASmithVictorianPoliticalHistorian.wmv

•Click “Next” and it will compile into a .wmv file •An icon will appear on your Desktop that is the movie file•Call your teacher over when the icon appears on your Desktop…she will come and save your .wmv file to a USB jumpdrive (so be ready at least 10 minutes before the end of the period)

Step 8. When you are all finished, press this button, and the application will turn your project into amovie for playing.
