  • Frida Kahlo She suffered a broken spinal column, a broken collarbone, broken ribs, a broken pelvis, and 11 fractures in her right leg. In addition, her right foot was dislocated and crushed. Because of these injuries, she had approximately 30 operations in her lifetime. Frida was always in pain because of her injuries While she was recovering from her injuries, Frida started to paint Her mother made her a special easel so she could paint while she was in bed in her body cast
