Our resident camp is perfect for the first time or younger campers. There is nothing to turn on, re-charge, or re-boot; nature does that all on her own. Our imagination does the rest. Resident camp offers sports, arts and crafts, hiking, horseback riding, rock climbing, canoeing, swimming and singing and storytelling around the campfire.

AFTERSCHOOL ENRICHMENTLEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

YOUTH & GOVERNMENT Model Legislature & Court(ML/C) ML/C is a statewide youth education program involving more than 2,900 high school students from across California in a 6 month, hands-on experience. High School Delegates write bills, select governmental positions to role play, attend statewide training conferences and run for various elected offices. The program reaches its peak at a 5 day confernce at the State Capital in Sacramento. There, real government steps aside and the delegates take over, using the historic halls, chambers and offices of our State Capital, Supreme Court and Governor’s Office.

Model United Nations (MUN) The Model United Nations program is a simulation of the “real-life” United Nations for middle school students (grades 6th—8th). Youth Ambassadors will research, debate and establish policies, treaties and resolutions focusing on international issues. Branch delegations are assigned one or more countries that they will represent, and the Ambassadors will research the countries and come to the MUN as representatives of those countries. Ambassadors will be faced with some “crisis” issues that they will be asked to resolve as well.

LACROSSEThis is the perfect program for Beginning players. Children ages 6 to 11 will learn basic skills such as passing, catching, dodging and shooting along with rules of the game and essential team concepts in a fun environment. We will provide sticks for all and will play in a co-ed, non-con-tact manner.

SWIM LESSONSImagine watching your child swim across the pool for the first time. Or learn a new stroke that they didn’t think they could ever do. When your kids take a swim lesson with the Y, they’ll gain confidence and learn new skills in a fun, caring environment. Not to mention the benefits of staying active and healthy!Classes are available for children6 months and up.
