Despite its name, cream tea is not tea with cream in it. Cream tea refers to

a type of afternoon tea meal. It’s more like a snack it’s made of scones

and tea.

Condiments like jam, Devon cream, butter may also be served for the scones, and milk and sugar are optional

for the tea.

The meal includes:

Strawberry jam;

Sandwiches;

Warm scones or biscuits;

Sweets ( muffins,Victoria sponge cake);

A fresh pot of tea (English breakfast, Earl Grey...).

Both men and women enjoy afternoon tea in England because it is suitable for many celebrations. The food is generally presented buffet style.

The only thing you need to serve is the tea itself, leaving you plenty of time to relax and enjoy your guests.
