Theme: Knowledge is the best medicine

• This year’s theme applies to many healthcare settings and builds on a fundamental and key element – knowledge sharing – between and among patients, clients, consumers and caregivers.

• Its intent is to focus on the strong commitment Canadian healthcare providers have made to improving patient safety and the development of a culture of patient safety within their organizations.

Theme for CPSW 2008

• It is meant to encourage patients, clients, consumers and all health care providers to become involved by speaking up and asking more questions, talking with each other, listening and understanding what is being said.

How you can participate…

• CPSW would not be possible without the effort, dedication and input of volunteer leaders. They make CPSW come alive by initiating events and sharing information at work and directly to the public.

• The role of Leader is to share information and plan events to get staff, patients and patients’ families interested, involved and informed.

• We recognize that you are busy and have limited budgets. To make it easier to participate, we have created tools and loaded resources on the CPSW website for you to use.
