VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR LEADERSHIP
Are YOU Willing and Available?
The process of selecting members to serve as the 2012 Officers and Directors is currently in progress. CPAR is looking for members to take our association forward as leaders who want to make a difference. We are accepting "Consent to Serve" forms for President-elect, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and two Directors. Members meeting the qualifications who are interested in being considered for nomination must submit a "Consent to Serve" form. Qualifications of Elected Officers and Directors are posted on the website at CentralPascoRealtors.org. The members voting for directors will be instructed to vote for up to four (4) directors from the slate submitted. The two receiving the highest votes will be deemed elected. The next highest will become an alternate for any vacancies during the current year. If you would like a position description or Consent to Serve form, please send an e-Mail to [email protected] . If you have any questions, please contact Margie Bradley, Nominating Committee Chair, at 813.996.7653 or e-mail her at [email protected]. The forms must be submitted by July 30, 2011 to be considered for possible recommendation by the Nominating Committee. The Nominating Committee Proposed Slate will be presented at the August CPAR General Membership Meeting. At that time, nominations may also be made from the floor. The election of officers and directors will take place in September. Election will be electronic by e-mail. Please ask qualified and interested members to consider taking CPAR to the next level by being involved in leadership.

Can you believe it? We are passing the half way mark of 2011. The second quarter has been exciting and there is a lot of ongoing activity …
Are you due for the Quadrennial Code of Ethics this year? CPAR will be scheduling three opportunities for you to take this at no charge before the end of the year. (No test if you take the classroom option as opposed to the online option.) Additionally, the Education Committee will be scheduling a classroom 14-hour Continuing Education Class for those with September 2011 license renewals. (No test if you take the classroom option as opposed to the online option.)
I know that it seems early, but within a few months, your 2012 Realtor dues will be sent out. So there are no surprises, the 2012 fee breakdown for Central Pasco primary members is as follows:
Local Dues $ 75.00 Florida State Dues $ 116.00 NAR Annual Fee $ 80.00 Issues Advocacy $ 10.00 NAR Public Awareness $ 35.00 Realtor Party Initiative $ 40.00 (not voluntary) RPAC $ 25.00 (voluntary) $ 381.00/$ 356.00
Central Pasco secondary members dues will remain at $75.00.
Your Board of Directors is reviewing the feasibility of the establishment of a Dues Layaway Plan (like a Christmas Club account) so that it is not so financially burdensome at the end of the year. It would be voluntary and you would have the right to withdraw the funds at any time. If this is something you would find useful, please send an e-Mail to [email protected] indicating your interest or call 813.406.6081.
Have you checked out our website? Centralpascorealtors.com. Let us know what else you would use if published to the site. Websites are always a work in progress. e-Mail your suggestions to: [email protected].
We have received our National Association of Realtors Board Organizational Certification renewal. This year the information was all submitted electronically.
We are approaching our annual election of Officers and Directors. Your Association needs you to volunteer to serve in one of the following positions: President-Elect; Vice President; Secretary; Treasurer; 2 Directors.
If you would like a position description, please send an e-Mail to [email protected] . If you have any questions, please contact Margie Bradley, Nominating Committee Chair, at 813.996.7653 or [email protected].

GET TO KNOW YOUR LEADERSHIP
Joan Staut is a Wisconsin native who moved to Florida in 2003 with her husband Jerry. She came to Land O’ Lakes with 30 years experience in residential and new construction sales and management. As a real estate broker, Joan was a multi-million dollar
producer for the top Prudential Real Estate franchise in WI, achieving the coveted Top of the Rock award for the Midwest Region. She was the first broker in the Milwaukee area to join a top builder with a residential real estate company, creating a winning situation for both companies. Before moving to Florida, she managed a Prudential office of 60 agents, and coordinated sales and marketing activities for one of the largest residential home builders in the area. She also served on the Professional Standards Committee for the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Realtors, chairing the Ethics and Arbitration hearings. As a Florida resident, Joan successfully sold out a new home community in Waterchase for a Sarasota building company, and most recently managed the Welcome Center at Connerton. She also served on the board of Directors for the Central Pasco Chamber of Commerce, was treasurer of her Homeowner’s Association and has a Florida Community Association Manager’s license. Real estate has always been her passion, second only to spending time with her husband Jerry as they test their luck fishing in the Gulf.
