COVID-19: ALTEN ENERGÍAS RENOVABLES STATEMENT #WorkingHardAndSafely #GreenEnergyForABetterWorld

ALTEN Energías Renovables has tackled significant challenges in the past, but we have never lived through anything like the pandemic caused by COVID-19.

Amidst global uncertainty, the priority for ALTEN Energías Renovables is to ensure the safety and health of all the professionals working with us, and to send a message of confidence and reassurance to our customers, suppliers, employees, partners and investors in all the countries in which we have a presence.

We are following very closely the decisions and guidance being given by the authorities in each country, and have put in place the technical and organizational resources necessary to guarantee that all our personnel continue working at full capacity, in an environment that is safe against this pandemic, to ensure the continuity of our projects throughout the world.

Our contingency plan works to guarantee our activity in the event of isolation and to contribute responsibly to controlling an epidemic in which each and every one of us plays an important part. For this reason:

In agreement with our suppliers, we have cut as far as possible the number of personnel present in the construction and operations of our photovoltaic plants, trying, as we always do, to employ local staff to avoid journeys from other regions.

We have closed our offices in the Netherlands, Spain, Mexico, Namibia and Kenya, rolling out teleworking for all administrative, technical and sales staff, preventing the need for travel in order to minimize their exposure to the risk of contagion.

We are carrying out control, monitoring and analysis in real time of our premises using online tools.

We give all our staff daily updates on the rules they must respect and conduct personal follow ups of those who have been especially affected by this situation.

Finally, we would like to point out that at ALTEN Energías Renovables we believe that photovoltaic technology is playing and will continue to play a preeminent role in the world’s future energy mix, making an extraordinary contribution to the supply of clean and competitive electricity and, as such, to complying with international commitments in the fight against climate change, which will help to create safer and healthier surroundings for all.

That is why our entire team continues to work today, safely and at full capacity
