Cover Lines & Main Sells
Meet the greatest rock star is the main sells and the cover lines are directly below to carry on the readers attention such as Lady Gaga being highlighted in bold red.
Do the same thing for another magazine…
The title of the magazine is very colourful and vibrant to catch the attention of people and make them think its going to be fun and interesting to read. Its main audience is teenagers and also adults.
Its selling line is Bruno Mars’s new album with his new style of music and saying ‘Future’s so bright’.
The image of Bruno Mars is him looking smart with sorting out his collar and showing part of his tattoo and with glasses on but still recognisable.
Its cover lines in the bottom right sude are Muse, Diana Krall, Rihanna, Easton Corbin and Papa Roach and ‘What's next for Lyor Cohen’ are what also is used to attract people.
Comparisons Both the magazines are similar as in
they are aimed a mid 20’s audience but the difference is Q is a well organized magazine so its easier for an older audience to read and Billboard has different things scattered on its cover. Billboard covers things such as new music and albums from artists and all the things that are popular at the time whilst Q speaks to artists who have been big in the past and having a catch up on what they are currently doing.
