Grow Your Own HerbsEnjoy fresh herbs during the winter

by growing them indoors! Select herbssuited for indoor life, such as basil, parsley, thyme and sage. Use pots withdrainage holes to prevent root rot.Keep the soil moist but notoverwatered, and give plants plenty oflight each day—six hours of sun or 14hours of artificial light. If your indoortemperatures are around 60 degrees atnight and 70 degrees during the day, you’re set; in fact, the warm, moistconditions in your kitchen orbathroom make an ideal home forindoor herbs.
