• Legislature authorized counties to impose $15 fee on civil and criminal traffic infractions to fund court facilities

– Warehouse facilities
• Totaling approx. 1.5 million square feet

• Increase would bring in approximately $3.2 million more annually in revenue for facilities

Approval to amend the ordinance to increase the additional surcharge for court facilities on civil and criminal traffic infractions from $15 to $30 effective October 1, 2009, as authorized by the Florida Legislature in 2009.
