Role Play

Forum theatre is a particularly powerful learning intervention. Role play within forum theatre takes on

different forms, with the action either fully or partly scripted. If the action is only partly scripted, a

facilitator stops the action and asks the audience to guide the actors on how to play the scene. If the

dialogue is fully scripted, discussion is facilitated when the scenes have finished. In some sessions,

delegates have the opportunity to interact in a scenario with the actors.

Forum theatre is an impactful way to learn the subtleties of effective communication and for learners

to share good practice. It is also successful in cascading messages to large groups of people quickly

and dynamically.

We work with our partner organisation London Role Play to deliver a wide variety of role play and

forum theatre sessions. To learn more about our role play, go to: thisisthrive.com.
