Course Name Change
Announcement in Falconer Today
As we prepare to meet with students regarding their courses for next school year, we wanted to make you aware of some changes that will take effect for the 2019-2020 school year. First, Bishop Dunne will no longer categorize any classes as pre-AP. All classes that were once pre-AP will be renamed as Honors, with an H next to the course name. The decision to change the naming of our courses will in no way impact the level of our instruction. There have been changes implemented by the CollegeBoard which would require a substantial financial commitment to continue using the pre-AP designation. We will, however, continue to offer AP courses. Second, it is our stance that all courses at Bishop Dunne are college preparatory; consequently, all classes not classified as Honors or AP will have a CP (College Prep) designation on course selection sheets.
