MATH INTERACTIVE NOTEBOOK

Your Notebook Will…

o  Be a way to organize your notes

o  Make your class notes easier to

understand

o  Allow you to be more successful in class

o  Become a personalized textbook

There are 2 Parts:

Left Side (LS)

Output

Right Side (RS)

InputColorful, creative,

unique to student,

demonstrates

understanding,

process & practice

new skills.

New content and

concepts of

curriculum,

teacher notes or

text driven

information.

In order to be successful, your notebook

MUST be brought to class everyday and

should be used to help with homework.

What Makes an INB different?

Many traditional notebooks have atendency to get disorganized easily.Papers fall out and get lost. Notes can be

boring and hard to understand. Manystudents do not take pride in theirnotebook and consequently do not use itto help them.

Your Interactive Student Notebookwill be your most valuable tool this year.Notes and new ideas will be presented ina clear manner that you will be able touse as your own personal “how-to-guide”. We will use color to emphasize

important points. It may even be usefulin future math courses.

LATE WORK/ABSENCES: Late workwill not be accepted. Late work isconsidered anything attempted to beturned in after I have collected everyoneelse’s things (if absent, keep reading).Good attendance is important no matterwhat you’re doing in life, and math is

no exception. Students best understandnew and old material when they are inclass. If you are absent, it is yourresponsibility to find out theassignment and get the work done.

Cell Phones/Electronic Devices:Devices are not to be used during classtime. Music may be played usingheadphones during independent worktime ONLY! Please be aware that thedevice must be placed on top of the deskat all times. Teacher has the right to tellyou to put the device away at any time.Refusal to follow teacher requests willresult in further consequences and maybe taken away.
