STEPS TO SUCCESSFUL SUBJECT CHOICE

1. Don’t pick subjects that friends are doing

2. Pick subjects that are relevant to your choice of career.

3. No subjects are specifically designed for boys or girls.

4. Keep options open when selecting. If unsure of career choice – select one subject from different subject groupings. If sure, select two subjects from one group.

5. There should be continuity from Junior Certificate to Senior Certificate.

6. Check out subject requirements for 3rd level.
