PROJECT SCOPE OF WORK:THE PROJECT CONSISTS OF THE DEMOLISHING OF AN EXISTING COUNTY OF IMPERIAL FIRE STATION FOLLOWED BY THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW 7,555 SF COUNTY PUBLIC SAFETY FACILITY. THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE NEW PUBLIC SAFETY FACILITY WILL HOUSE (3) FIRE STATION EMPLOYEES 24 - HOURS AND PROVIDE AN APPARATUS BAY FOR (3) FIRE VEHICLES. THE NORTH SIDE WILL CONSIST OF OFFICE SPACE FOR REMOTE SHERIFF EMPLOYEES, ALONG WITH AN 879 SF COOLING CENTER TO BE USED BY THE NILAND COMMUNITY DURING TIMES OF EXTREME SUMMER HEAT.

REFER TO STRUCTURAL SHEET S-102 FOR ALL REQUIRED SPECIAL INSPECTIONS AND TESTING.

NONE ON THIS PROJECT

1. CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL DIMENSIONS IN FIELD, PRIOR TO STARTING WORK. CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY ARCHITECT IN WRITING OF ANY DISCREPANCIES.

2. ALL DISCREPANCIES SHALL BE CLARIFIED WITH THE ARCHITECT PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OF WORK.

3. BUILDING DIMENSIONS SHOWN ARE TO FACE OF CMU, STUD, FACE OF SHEATHING, OR CENTERLINE OF COLUMN OR WALL UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE.

7. BUILDINGS AND SITE SHALL BE ACCESSIBLE PER T24 CCR. SIGNAGE SHALL BE PROVIDED USING THE INTERNATIONAL SYMBOL OF ACCESSIBILITY (#1590 IN FEDERAL STANDARD 599b) AS REQUIRED ALONG ACCESSIBLE ROUTES TO ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCES. SIGNAGE SHALL ALSO BE INCLUDED AT EACH ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCE. REFER TO SHEET G-002 FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.

8. ALL WORK SHALL COMPLY WITH TITLE 24, CALIFORNIA CODE OF REGULATIONS (CCR).

9. ALL ELECTRICAL, CABLE TV, AND TELEPHONE WIRES SHALL BE UNDERGROUND.

10. FIRE EXTINGUISHERS SHALL BE PLACED AS REQUIRED BY THE FIRE MARSHALL FIRE EXTINGUISHERS SHALL BE PLACED IN FIRE EXTINGUISHER CABINETS. INSTALL PORTABLE

FIRE EXTINGUISHERS PER NFPA PAMPHLET #2, BUT NOT LESS THAN 210BC IN RATING. CABINETS SHALL BE SURFACE MOUNTED OR SEMI-RECESSED PER PLAN.

11. DESIGNATED LANES (BUILDING ACCESS) SHALL REMAIN UNOBSTRUCTED AND PERMANENTLY MAINTAINED.

12. CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE 6' SAFETY BARRIER WITH WIND SCREEN AROUND PERIMETER OF ALL CONSTRUCTION.
