Bike Repair Stations: There are now several Bike Repair Stations alongthe Mon River Trail and in Masontown. Thanks to MRTC for having thesestations installed. There is one at Pricketts Fort, the Riverfront Park, StarCity, VanVoorhis trailhead, and Masontown.

Morgantown Riverfront Park: The Riverfront Park hopefully will be openany day now. Work started last spring, and continued through the falland winter. We are looking forward to getting our Riverfront Park back.

What the lifetime members are doing….(Our lifetime members areBruce, Al and Fern, Joe and Linda, Jim and Sandy, Kelly and Gerry)

From Jim and Sandy Weaver: We have been riding 3-4 days a week on the manypaved bike trails. The Pinellas trail is about 50 miles long. And recently they made aconnection between it and the Suncoast trail which is also 40-50 miles long. Making 100 +miles of continuous trail. We can also ride from our condo across the Courtney Campbellcauseway into down town Tampa. And on the other side, ride out to Clearwater beach onthe Gulf. I rode 4006 miles in 2019 Sandy rode 3800. Our longest day was 72 miles.

We ride with the Campbell’s some of the time.

Pic Sandy riding her trike past Tropicana field in St Pete (where the trail starts).

And, from Joe and Linda Super:Every winter Joe and Linda head south, ending up in Flamingo Campground in EvergladesNational Park, one of our favorite places in the country since the first, or was it second, visitin 2004. At times we take the long way around. searching for great biking. The first pic is ofLinda on the Galveston Island Seawall, a 15 mile or so concrete path that protects the cityfrom rising seas. If you have not visited Galveston, it is rich in architecture, museums, greatfood, and the state park has boating, biking, and lovely rv/tent sites. The other pic is on theNatchez Trace, which we seem to get to every couple of years. It has some of the best roadriding in North America, and good camping. Hope to see you on the trail.

A celebration of LIFE, Robin Ames, 1982-2020

Gunnar Shogren wrote this about the celebration of life forRobin Ames, taken from us on President’s Day, 2020, nearBruceton MillsRide to Celebrate Robin Ames

Good day friends and cycling family.

As many of you know, our friend Robin was killed by a distracted driver on Monday, veryclose to his home.

The family had a celebration of his life at Cooper's Rock this Sunday @ 1 pm (happened onFebruary 23).

Karrah and Frank (Robin’s dad) are supportive and encouraging of people riding up onSunday. They agree it’s what Robin would have wanted.

Robin’s sister, Emily, requested “lots of bikes” there.
