Objective• The objectives of this lesson are:• The first grade students will observe the different types of coins and

the dollar bill using the overhead projector.• The first grade students will view a short view from

www.unitedstreaming.com discussing the coins and values.• The first grade students will complete a Power Point presentation with

a partner describing a short story involving counting money. The students will view a simple example created by a teacher.

• The first grade students will create the presentation using keyboarding skills and clipart insertions.

• The first grade students will present their presentation to the whole group. Presentations will be evaluated on the language the students use while explaining the procedure and accuracy of the coin counting.

big numbers (25’s). Example: 25, 50, 75, and so on.
