Costume for AS Short FilmFloral skirt:I wanted to use this black and white floral skirt because it juxtaposes with the feel of the film. The film is very deep but wearing this skirt gives a break contrasts, it also resembles the stereotypical ‘hippy’ and how psychedelic it was when they took drugs.

Hood up: Having the hood up gives the character a bit of comfort. It also sort of hides her identity, and changes societies perception of her.

Black hoodie:The colour black is very dominant in the short film, it represesnts the mood of the film and how she is mourning not only her family but also her eventual death and how her life is ‘dead’.

Black Nike shoes:The black shoes again fit the mood of the film but after not making the shoes a conscience piece of costume something occurred to me. Wearing Nike clothing comes with a set of ideologies in Britain, it is seen as the ‘in’ sports and shoe fashion to wear. But this character doesn’t fit into society, so it can be seen as a way of the character feeling pressured and wanting to ‘fit’ into society.
