COST BENEFIT ANALYSISOF THE AGREEMENTS ON THE HOTEL ACCOMODATION WITH THE
PHILIPPINE RICE INSTITUTE FACILITIES IN MALIGAYA, SCIENCE CITY OF MUÑOZ, NUEVA ECIJA
This is to explain why entering into agreements with the Philippine Rice Research Institute facilities in Maligaya, Scienc e City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija is more beneficial to Department of Agriculture.
REASONS:a) There was an urgent need to accommodate the members of Rice Road Map Sub-
Committee for the conduct of write shop for the finalization of the Rice Industry Road Map.
b) The above mentioned institution possesses facilities that meet requirements for food, training venues and logging/dormitory accommodation. These institutions have experienced and professional staff who can handle the arrangements.
c) The aforesaid facilities are maintained by PhilRice, the venue of the Rice Industry Road Map write shop. There could have been additional cost for travel and turn-around if the accommodations were in privately owned hotels which were nowhere sufficient but in Cabanatuan.
d) The prices are competitive, cheaper compared to privately owned hotels.

e) Funds allocated for food, training venues and logging/dormitory accommodation remain intact with government since these institutions are attached agency of the Department of Agriculture.
Hence, the agreements with the above mentioned facilities are more efficient and economical to the Department of Agriculture.
