CEN/TC 264/WG 17Future work (1)

• Industry facing already very stringent regulations from EU and the national bodies.

• Industry search for complementary tools or alternatives not for a double burden.

• The voluntary initiative should not be punished at the end of the process by fixing stringent emission limit values

CEN/TC 264/WG 17Future work (2)

• The competitiveness issue if EU standards go beyond international ones and where compliance is at stake only for EU companies (distortion of the level playing field).

• It is important to keep the NGO’s on board such as industries because of the field experience and the know how.

Conclusion

Industries are willing to take their responsibility in

standardisation work, but they do not want to put the

rope round their own neck.
