4-H Enrollment Begins September 1st
Starting in September, new and returning members may enroll for the 2019-2020 4-H Year. Again this year, families will have the option to pay their enrollment fees online. 4-H is open to youth in grades 4-12 and holds an enrollment fee of $40 per child. Clover Kids is open to youth in grades K-3rd and has an enrollment fee of $15 per child. Please note, if you choose to pay online, payment will need to be made in full and payments for multiple youth will be processed separately.
Returning Families: Please do not create a new profile for your Clover Kid or 4-H member. If you are not able to log in successfully, please utilize the “I forgot my password,” option to access your family profile.
If you prefer not to pay online, you may stop by the Extension office to pay by cash, check, or card. If your family would like to seek financial assistance, please visit this link to find the application: https://www.iowa4hfoundation.org/index.cfm?nodeID=83009&audienceID=1
REMEMBER TO COMPLETE RE-ENROLLMENT BEFORE NOVEMBER 15TH to avoid the $25 late fee. Enrollment is complete when each youth’s 4HOnline profile has been updated and submitted and enrollment fees have been paid.
Kathy McCormick-McCoy grew up in Warren County where she was a 9 year 4-H member. Her role on the County and State levels have been crucial to Warren County and Iowa 4-H success. Kathy is married to Tim McCoy and has 4 children, who are all in or have graduated out of 4-H. In high school she became active not only on her County and Area 4-H Councils, but on the State and National level as well. While on County Council in Warren County, she helped to start Clover Buds. This program would later take off at the State 4-H level and is one of the reasons we have Clover Kids today!
For the past 30 years, Kathy has served as a 4-H judge for countless county fairs and during the Iowa State Fair in the area of Communications. When her kids became old enough for 4-H she started the Clover Kids club in her area and then moved on to be a 4-H Club leader. She has served as the Warren County Superintendent for the 4-H Building, Clothing Events and Communications programs for the past 10 years. The 4-H Citizenship Washington Focus Trip is one of the 4-H experiences that she encourages all youth to attend. Kathy attended as a youth and has since chaperoned the trip twice. Kathy feels it is a trip of a lifetime that kids can not only learn from, but then bring back changes along with new ideas for their communities.
Kathy graduated from Grand View College with a Mass Communications degree and worked for a non-profit for 10 years as their Communications Director. While there she completed her Master’s Degree from Drake University. No matter what service project, workshop or meeting Kathy is helping with, she always makes sure the kids come first and is always willing to go above and beyond for others. Kathy, thank you for all of your years of hard work and dedication to 4-H’ers and the 4-H program.
