Modifying other brandsof door templates to

fit Woodhaven’s 5434Frame & Panel Master 

  We cannot quarantee that this will work on all brands of templates. Youwill need to drill mounting holes where shown on your panel templates. The drill ingdimension of 3” shown for the rail templetes may vary depending on your templates,the desired overall part width and your straight rail width. For example, our templatesbelow have a 1-3/4” rise and an overall rail part width of 4”, leaving the rail 2-1/4” wideat the narrowest point. If your templates have a 1-1/2” rise and you drilled your railtemplates using the 3” dimension, you’d end up with a rail that measures 2-1/2” wideat the narrowest point.

If 2-1/2” is wider than desired, the easiest solution would be to rip the railnarrower after machining the contour. Another solution would be to change the 3”dimension to something less. To get a rail that’s 2-1/4” wide at the narrowest pointwith 1-1/2” rise templates, you would need to change the 3” dimension to 2-3/4”. Thenyou would need to be sure that there was not more than 1” of template overhang onthe back to be able to use your template on our 5434 Frame & Panel Master.
