Corrugated FEP Tubing for Chemical Industries

TEF-CAP INDUSTRIES INC. Corrugated FEP Tubes Offering Smooth Operational Activities in Chemical Industries Normally while talking about corrugated tubes, people consider them similar to spiral wrap tubing system because of few similarities between them like moving them up-to zero bend radius, moving from downward to upward etc. Whereas the fact is that despite on flexibility there is no any type of similarity between both tubing systems. The history of corrugated FEP tubing dates almost 50 years back when it was discovered by an engine Ira Clement in 1966 while he was working in Penn Tube Plastic. In the beginning this tubing system was mainly used for filling plastic bottles but in later years emerged as boon for industrial operations and giving new dimensions to activities performed in chemical and gaseous industries. Developed from resins of FEP and PFA the corrugated tubes act as canals for transmitting electronic and fluid materials that are carried through robots developed with electrical wires. Installation of this tubing system makes the flow of disruptive chemicals and various elements smoothly across the tubes without damaging their walls. The strength of this tubing system if further enhanced by making use of Kevlar Braid when they undergo extreme high pressure or in words when any material is transmitted through them at high pressure. The major characteristic features of this tubing system can be referred as follows: Flexible in nature: Allowing radius at zero bends; Developed from FDA compliant resins of FEP and PFA; They can extended to desired length without making difference on the I.D. of tubing system; Chemical and electrical resistant; Their strength can be enhanced by making use Kevlar. The use of this tubing system in not restricted only to industrial operations but they also constitute an important part in different types of aerospace’s, vehicles and other items where disruptive fuel is transmitted across the vehicle. Apart from it this fluoropolymer tubing system is also used in medicinal and gaseous industries where destructive chemicals for making various medicines and gases are transferred from one to another.

Corrugated FEP Tubes

Offering Smooth Operational Activities in Chemical Industries

Normally while talking about corrugated tubes,

people consider them similar to spiral wrap tubing system because of few similarities between them like moving them up-to zero bend radius, moving from downward to upward etc. Whereas the fact is that despite on flexibility there is no any type of similarity between both tubing systems. The history of corrugated FEP tubing dates almost 50 years back when it was discovered by an engine Ira Clement in 1966 while he was working in Penn Tube Plastic. In the beginning this tubing system was mainly used for filling plastic bottles but in later years emerged as boon for industrial operations and giving new

dimensions to activities performed in chemical and gaseous industries. The major characteristic features of this tubing system can be referred as follows:

Flexible in nature: Allowing radius at zero bends; Developed from FDA compliant resins of FEP and PFA; They can extended to desired length without making

difference on the I.D. of tubing system; Chemical and electrical resistant; Their strength can be enhanced by making use Kevlar.

The use of this tubing system in not restricted only to industrial

operations but they also constitute an important part in different

types of aerospace’s, vehicles and other items where disruptive fuel

is transmitted across the vehicle. Apart from it this fluoropolymer tubing system is also used in medicinal and

gaseous industries where destructive chemicals for making various medicines and gases are transferred from

one to another.
