Infant Baptism: The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated after the 11 a.m. Mass on the fourth Sunday of the month. Registered parishioners are asked to make arrangements for the Baptismal Preparation Class and the Liturgical Celebration by calling the Parish Office.

Pastoral Care of the Sick: When a parishioner is confined to home because of age or infirmity, or in a hospital or nursing home, please call the parish office to arrange for Holy Communion to be brought to them. When one is seriously ill, the healing Presence of the Lord should be requested in the Sacrament of the Sick by calling the Parish office.

Matrimony: Anyone planning to be married must contact the Parish at least six months in advance. The exact date and time of your wedding should not be determined until after consultation with a priest or deacon. If either party has previously been civilly or religiously married, the Presider is not permitted to set a date for the wedding without resolving the previous marriage.

SOCIAL JUSTICE TITHE THIS WEEKEND: Helping Hands of St. Louis Outreach Center, located at 443 Sixth St., Toledo, Ohio, serves

low income and homeless families and individuals. The outreach center includes a soup kitchen, food pantry and clothing center. Additional services include hygiene products, homeless kits and hot showers. Since 1982, Helping Hands has served more than 1.5 million meals to people in need. An average of 350 meals are now served each day, Monday through Friday.

Tithe next weekend: Servant Leadership Center.FOOD FOR OTHERS: Thank you for your response to the July food collection. 56 bags of food/supplies were collected

and delivered to Assumption Outreach, who served 499 families (1444 individuals) in June. Our next collection weekend is August 17th. Thank you for your generosity!

CHRISTIAN LEADERSHIP PROGRAM (CLP) SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2014-2015 ACADEMIC YEAR ARE NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE AT WWW.CCUP.ORG: Scholarships for Catholic Freshmen at the University of Toledo. Corpus Christi University Parish will again be offering $5,000 Christian Leadership Program Scholarships to twelve incoming Catholic freshmen at the University of Toledo. These students will also receive opportunities for spiritual formation, community service, and leadership training. Migration of Unaccompanied El Salvadoran Children to the U.S.Leslie Schuld Executive Director of the Center for Exchange and Solidarity (CIS) will give a short presentation on the migration of unaccompanied Salvadoran children to the U.S. in the Meeting Room after the 11 a.m. Mass on Sunday, August 10th. Leslie has been living and working in El Salvador since the 1992 Peace Accords. She works closely with Salvadoran youth and will provide a firsthand Salvadoran perspective on what is driving this current crisis on the US border. The Christian Service Program supports CIS’s schol-arship program and youth leadership for Salvadoran high school and college students. PARISH REGISTRATION INFORMATION FOR THOSE NOT PREVIOUSLY REGISTERED IN THE FALL

Corpus Christi University Parish welcomes any person of good will who seeks a growing relationship with God, others and the Catholic Church. Membership in this community involves regular participation in parish liturgical prayer and a mutual relationship that promotes the responsible sharing of time, talent and treasure. Help us serve you by filling out a registration card. Students since your information changes each year it is very important that you re-register annually. Please be sure to fill out both sides of the registration form. Students who are registered at their home parish can also be registered here because this will be your University Parish. Permanent Community members, even though you have probably done so in the past, please fill out your registration card again. If your contact information has not changed please put your name on the card and fill out the second side with your preferences. Cards can be found in the Gathering Space and on the web site at www.ccup.org.

Holy Orders: When a gentleman feels the call to follow the Lord as a Priest in the Catholic Church, he should call Monsignor Charles Singler, our Diocesan Vocation Director, as 419-244-6711 or speak to one of the Parish Priests. If the Permanent Diaconate is of interest to a gentleman he should call Deacon James Caruso, our Vicar for Deacons at 419-244-6711 or speak to one of the Deacons of the Parish.
